Emily holds a LL.B (Hons) from University of London (External Programme) and obtained Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2022. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.

With a primary focus on corporate advisory and commercial transactions, Emily has experience advising both local and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters across various industries. She regularly drafts commercial agreements, provides strategic corporate advisory services, assists clients with regulatory compliance, and advises them on local licensing requirements.

Emily has also been involved in several due diligence exercises for Malaysian companies, assisting clients in identifying potential risks and opportunities related to mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, she advises on real property transactions, including sales and purchase agreements and tenancy matters for both residential and commercial properties.

  • Assisted in the legal due diligence, preparation of due diligence report and definitive agreements in an acquisition of 51% stake in a leading digital marketing company with operations in Malaysia and Thailand by a Labuan based company.
  • Advised a PRC based company on the legal and regulatory requirements for market entry into Malaysia, with a focus on power batteries, electric drives and charging infrastructure.
  • Advised a PRC based state-owned company specializing in sustainable construction and eco-environmental protection technologies on licensing requirements and regulatory compliance for subcontracting in a government / public road construction project in Malaysia.
  • Advised a Singapore based company on local regulatory requirements and market entry strategies to support its expansion into the logistics sector in Malaysia.
