Daniel & Wong: A Season of Double Celebration | 8 March 2026
On 8.3.2026, our team gathered for a special ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐ dinner at Little Heritage House.
Dressed in our finest traditional outfits, we were delighted to celebrate the evening together with former colleagues and family members. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful, with plenty of good food, laughter, and warm conversations shared around the table.

Last Sunday, our teams, DW Draft 1-1 and DW Mastercopy, proudly took part in this yearโs KL Bar Run alongside members of the legal fraternity.
The morning was full of energy, team spirit, and a genuine sense of camaraderie beyond the workplace.

Daniel & Wong at the Malaysian Bar Sports Arbitration Moot Competition
Weโre pleased to share that our Nicholas Yap recently served as a Co-Arbitrator at the Malaysian Bar Sports Arbitration Moot Competition (MyBar SAMCO 2025), organised by the Bar Council Sports Law Practice Committee.
The competition brings together law students from universities across Malaysia to experience sports arbitration in a simulated setting, tackling disputes inspired by real-world sports cases and developing advocacy, reasoning, and teamwork skills.

Daniel & Wong Supports ATC OWLs Womenโs Equality Day Online Essay Contest
We are proud to support the Womenโs Equality Day Online Essay Contest, organised by the Organisation of Women Law Students from Advance Tertiary College, in collaboration with Women’s Aid Organisation.
This contest invites students to explore pressing issues, such as domestic violence, harassment, systemic inequalities, and the role of youth in driving positive change. At Daniel & Wong, we believe youth voices and dialogue are vital in shaping a safer, more equal future for women.
Fun fact: The trailblazing B.H. Oon (Lim Beng Hong) became Malaysiaโs first female lawyer and played an instrumental role in amending the law that finally allowed women to practise at the Malayan Bar in 1935.ย

Firm Visit: Sharing Sessions with ATC Organisation of Women Law Students
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting members of the Organisation of Women Law Students (OWLS) from Advance Tertiary College.
The visit featured a series of sharing sessions led by our partners, Daniel Albert and Kenneth Wong, as well as our associates from the Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Commercial departments – offering the students a closer look at life in legal practice.

We’re pleased to see our associate, Thevan Aruljothi, return to his alma mater, Advance Tertiary College, to conduct his first Legal Drafting Workshop. From participant to presenter, it was a full-circle and meaningful moment.
The session focused on practical insights into written advocacy, and we hope it provided students with valuable takeaways.

Annual Firm Trip | Daniel & Wong Goes to Bali
We recently went on our highly anticipated annual firm trip to Canggu, Bali, on a 4-day, 3-night retreat focused on connection, reflection, and growth.
Beyond the beautiful landscapes and shared laughter, the trip served as a productive platform for collaboration and strategic thinking. While we thoroughly enjoyed team bonding activities, including engaging performances by our pupils, we also dedicated time to focused discussions on the firmโs direction, business development initiatives, and strategies to elevate our collective performance.
It was a valuable opportunity to realign our goals, exchange ideas, and strengthen our shared commitment to growing together โ not just as individuals, but as a firm.

Tremendous Success at Daniel & Wong’s Inaugral Blood Donation Drive 2025.
Last Friday, we had the privilege of organising aย blood donation driveย in collaboration with theย National Blood Centre and the Ministry of Health, and weโre thrilled to share that it was aย tremendous success!
Thanks to the overwhelming support from our colleagues, clients, friends, and the wider community, we welcomed 92 volunteer donors, out of whichย 75 successful donationsย were made โย surpassing the target of 50ย set by the National Blood Centre.
Your generosity will go a long way in saving lives.
