From Structure to Substance: Building Persuasive Legal Arguments with Taylor’s Mooting Society
Last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting a workshop in collaboration with Taylor’s Mooting Society, titled “𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.”
Our Dispute Resolution lawyers, Nicholas Yap and Thevan Aruljothi, shared practical insights on the fundamentals of mooting – from structuring submissions to crafting persuasive advocacy.
A big thank you to the team at Taylor’s Mooting Society for the collaboration and to all participants for their enthusiasm and thoughtful engagement throughout the session.

A Full-Circle Moment: Thevan Aruljothi Leads Written Advocacy Workshop at ATC.
We’re pleased to see our associate, Thevan Aruljothi, return to his alma mater, Advance Tertiary College, to conduct his first Legal Drafting Workshop. From participant to presenter, it was a full-circle and meaningful moment.
The session focused on practical insights into written advocacy, and we hope it provided students with valuable takeaways.
Kudos to Thevan Aruljothi for leading the workshop, and to Amanda Yap and the Moot Society committee of Advance Tertiary College for making the session a success!
